Aug 6th

Aug 6th
238.5 lbs.
Yesterday was a difficult day.  My tummy did start to feel better but I was still tiered for most of the day.  I laid down after student clinic and kind of fell asleep.  It was also very hard to eat my raw veggies, but I did do it.
I have noticed that I am getting the “hungry feeling” at the right times of day.  Meaning every 3 hours or so.  I have also realized that a lot of my “food cravings” that I did have before were not really “food cravings”.  I noticed in the last couple of days that when I see foods that I would normally think of often ie. Mcdonalds fries, peanut butter M&M’s, ect. I really do not “NEED” to eat them.  Before I would just sit and think about them until I put them into my mouth.  But for the last couple of days I think “hmmm that is why I am the way I am” and I put them down and walk away.  I also remind myself that one day, when I have lost ALL my excess weight I will be able to have them every once and awhile.
So now this morning as I sit and write I am starting my new Phase of the program.  I am eating for breakfast, Greek Yogurt, with Blueberries mashed into it, and a rice cake.  Wow the Greek yogurt is very bitter.  But I found that the longer it sits with the blueberries in it the less bitter it tastes.  Or maybe I am just getting use to the taste.  I also am dipping my rice cake into the yogurt so that it adds a little flavor to it.
Today I have student clinic again up at school.  Before I started breakfast today I put together my meals for the day, except for dinner.  I think that this will make it much easier to stick to the plan!
I am not sure if I said this earlier on but I decided that I am going to start a Food Plan Journal.  I was watching the news the other day and they were doing a story about a women who lost 200 lbs.  One thing that she said that really stuck out in my mind was “I write EVERYTHING down BEFORE I eat it.  If it is not on paper it does not go into my mouth.”  I have decided to adopt this policy.  A few days ago I sat down and made a schedule for three days.  It took me about two hours to do.  But what I did was wrote out  what I was going to eat at each meal.  I also made sure to write down the measurements of each thing I could have.  That way when I prepping in the morning I am not having to look things up.  I made sure that dinners would be something that we can eat together as a family, because the last thing that I want is to be making two meals for dinner. (well have heath make two meals)
Well I have to run and get ready for school. But this feels good.... I don’t really want to stop writing.  I think that I am going to look into to starting a blog. :)
